Samurai House

Morioka, Japan

Photographs from the Aftermath of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Exhibited in a Landmark Samurai House in Morioka, Iwate Perfecture. The installation also featured a Shakuhachi and Ichigenkin (single-stringed plucked zither) ensemble. Flower arrangements by renound Ikebana Artist.

The Cathedral Church of ST John the Divine

A multidisciplinary event in rememberance of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City. Produced by Voices of Japan. It brought together Music, Poetry, Drawings, and Photography.

Takkoku Seikoji Temple

Hiraizumi, Japan

Tokkoku Temple is one of the World Heritage temples at Hiraizumi, Japan. To exhibit at such a profoundly beautiful and sacred venue is a hubling experience. The exhibit was accompanied by Ralph Samuelson's masterful Shakuhachi performance. The priestess introduced us to the shrine's guardian Bishamonten. We dedicated the performance and exhibition to the guardian.

Traveling ExhibitioN

Where Earth Meets the Sky, an exhibition with photographs from the Mississippi Delta is touring from June 2025 through May 2032. The exhibition is available for rent for seven-week display periods. Click here to find out more.
