New York

New York was my home for over 30 years. It was the city I loved beyond reproach. The grittiness, the places that were off-limits, the artist communities, the off-Broadway theater, the old lower East Side, the Bowery, Little Italy with the social clubs of organized crime, the pulse. The many little neighborhoods with their bodegas, the varied cultures that spoke over 800 languages, a diversity congealed into what we simply called “The City”.
